    Human Resources Summer Student

    Human Resources Summer Student

    As a member of the Human Resources Team, the summer student will play a critical role in the support HR initiatives with a focus on recruitment. The successful candidate will support the HR and Operational Leadership team and be involved in the coordination of various Human Resources and Talent Management projects and initiatives.


    • Support HR Coordinator and Operational Managers with full-cycle Recruitment
    • Administer and act as SME for staffing assessment tools
    • Prepare a variety of regular reports, such as weekly staffing reports and monthly staffing metric reports
    • Maintain files of prospective candidates for employment
    • Act as the primary contact for all recruitment related inquiries
    • Prepare and distribute both internal and external job postings
    • Responsible for tracking and maintaining staffing requisitions
    • Coordinate and facilitate interview schedules
    • Participate in and support new employee onboarding and first day details
    • Assist with HR project coordination, as needed


    • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree and/or diploma in human resources
    • Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment and best practices an asset
    • Proficient Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills; intermediate Access with previous experience with applicant tracking systems preferred
    • High degree of comfort using technology and internet-based applications; such as online search engine(s) to attract perspective candidates
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and adapt to fluctuating work volumes
    • Proven ability to work well independently and in a team environment
    • Excellent customer service orientation


    • This is a temporary full-time position (summer months) at our Corporate office
    • $15.50 /hourly
