April Gamache
Chief Executive Officer
April brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership to CATC, having held diverse roles in local, national and international organizations spanning the healthcare sector from community services to acute care and government agencies.
Before joining CATC in 2023, April served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Ontario Health, where she led major organizational initiatives to enable the merger and integration of 22 disparate government agencies to create the new Ontario Health agency. April’s work at Ontario Health included health sector workforce redeployment initiatives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Prior to that, she was the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Trillium Health Partners (THP) comprised of Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital, and Queensway Health Centre–which provides a range of health-related services from acute care to specialized community programs. April’s work at THP included leading the Institute for Better Health – a talented team of researchers and innovators generating cutting-edge science and innovation in health service delivery and population health.
Before this, April served as the CEO of Motion Specialties, Canada’s largest provider of mobility and accessibility solutions working directly with clients to assess, build, and service solutions from wheelchairs to home elevators. She was also Chief Operating Officer of Exova (now Element), the world’s largest dedicated testing company, and has held senior leadership roles at LifeLabs and MDS in operations, supply chain, business development and business transformation.
April is originally from Chester, Nova Scotia. As a mom of four children, she enjoys time with family, travel, and music.
