Executive Director, 1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre

Axelle is the Executive Director at 1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre. She is responsible for the overall operational leadership and success of the centre within our broader network, working closely with our inpatient and virtual program teams in realizing that mandate.

She brings a wealth of diverse experience to this role, most recently working at The Ottawa Hospital for nearly 5 years as both Director of Clinical Operations (COVID Recovery Team) and Director of Education.

Aside from healthcare, Axelle also has experience in both Stakeholder Relations and government. She was the Director of Stakeholder Relations for Prince Harry’s Invictus Games in Toronto where she worked with various community and government stakeholders to ensure military members, veterans and their families could experience the best of the Invictus movement.

She is currently completing and executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology and a BA in Political Science from Bishop’s University.

In her spare time Axelle loves spending time outside with her 3 children, her husband and two dogs. She grew up in Italy and loves the cuisine. She is also one of the chosen few who can get through the day without coffee.
