Dr. Beverly Chuong
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Chuong‘s educational journey began with her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from Queen’s University. Following her childhood dream of becoming a physician, she pursued her medical degree at Saba University School of Medicine.
Upon obtaining her Doctor of Medicine (MD), she returned to Ontario to complete a five-year residency in General Psychiatry at Western University. Further honing her skills, she undertook subspecialty training in Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Dr. Chuong is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in both General and Forensic Psychiatry.
Her clinical interests are diverse and encompass inpatient psychiatry, acute care of the correctional population, general outpatient psychiatry, and psycholegal assessments. Dr. Chuong‘s work reflects her commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care across various settings and populations.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Chuong enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, exploring new restaurants, traveling, and training to climb one of the Seven Summits. She’s always happy to chat about her greatest joy—her beloved dog.
