Dr. Mireille St. Jean, MD, CCFP(AM), FCFP
Dr. Mireille St-Jean is a graduate of Family Medicine, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. Dr. Mireille St-Jean’s qualifications include a BSc. in Life Science (Queen’s University), M.D. (University of Sherbrooke), and a Family Practice Residency (University of Ottawa). Dr. Mireille St-Jean has achieved the College of Family Physicians of Canada’s Fellowship and Certificate of Added Competence in Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Mireille St-Jean has been a Clinician Teacher at the Ottawa Hospital Academic Family Health Team for 12 years with a special interest in mental health and lactation medicine prior to her career re-direction into the area of substance use in 2017. Dr. Mireille St-Jean has provided Independent Medical Assessments for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board of Ontario at the Ottawa Regional Evaluation Centre and for the Nurses’ Health Program. Dr. Mireille St-Jean has also acted as Mentor for the Ontario College of Family Physician’s Mentoring Networks for support in the areas of mental health, substance use and pain.
Dr. Mireille St-Jean has worked with the Centre for Effective Practice on Tool development in the areas of Chronic Non-Cancer Pain, Adult Depression and Adult Attention Deficit Disorder. Dr. Mireille St-Jean participates in group authorship of exam creation, content review and participates in the evaluation process of the Medical Council of Canada Exams. In addition to her work with CATC, Dr. Mireille St-Jean currently holds positions at Sandy Hill Community Health Centre Oasis Program and at the Ottawa Hospital Substance Use Program. Dr. Mireille St-Jean is fluent in spoken and written, English and French.
