Valentino Colavecchia is a seasoned mental health and addictions professional with over 15 years of experience, known for his commitment to clinical excellence, compassionate care, and strong leadership. Over the past two years, he has held key executive roles within the CATC, including Clinical Director at Trafalgar Addiction Treatment Centre, Interim Executive Director at 1000 Islands Addiction Treatment Centre, and most recently, Executive Director of Greenestone Centre for Recovery, CATC’s flagship residential facility. In these roles, he has provided strategic, clinical, and operational leadership, strengthening program quality, team performance, and client outcomes across multiple sites.

He began his career in the public school system, spending more than 15 years supporting children and youth before transitioning into the mental health and addictions sector. He has since held senior roles including Clinical Supervisor and Program Director, leading multidisciplinary teams and the development and evaluation of comprehensive treatment programs.  Valentino holds a Bachelor’s degree from York University, a Diploma in Child & Youth Care from George Brown College, and advanced training in Professional Addiction Studies from McMaster University. He is a Canadian Certified Addictions Counsellor (CCAC), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS-AC), and a Certified CPI Trainer.

As Executive Director at Greenestone, Valentino oversees all aspects of clinical programming, operations, and culture. He leads a multidisciplinary team in delivering evidence-based, client-centered care, while driving accountability, staff development, and continuous quality improvement. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing the centre’s vision and reinforcing its position as a leader in addiction treatment.

An active member of the 12 Step Fellowship, Valentino brings a recovery-oriented perspective grounded in service, integrity, and personal growth. He is widely respected for his authentic leadership and continues to make a meaningful impact across individuals, teams, and organizations.
