Methadone Treatment

As an opioid agonist blocker, Methadone is administered therapeutically to help reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The dosage is taken orally and reduced overtime until cravings or withdrawal symptoms are gone.
Suboxone treatment icon

Suboxone Treatment

Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone. Combined they block opioid receptors to prevent the effects of other opioids, with a built in ceiling effect preventing overdose or misuse.

Sublocade is an injectable form of Buprenorphine that releases slowly over a 30 day period. This treatment is ideal for patients that struggle to access daily medication, and should only be administered by a medical professional.

Kadian is a form of morphine that is taken orally with an extended release. It is a full opioid agonist blocker and is used for more severe opioid addictions.

We routinely screen our patients for Hep C, a liver disease more common in people who inject drugs. If blood tests reveal an infection, we help access medication and additional support.

Medically assisted detoxification is only offered at our best-in-class Inpatient Recovery Centres in Ontario.
